A couple was forced to spend the night in a maize store following a case of “self- arson”.The man had opted five years ago to live in a different hut from his wife who had given him five children as a birth control method. Over the festive season, the couple decided to make merry with close friends in the village. There was drama on Thursday when a married vendor was detained in his love nest at Tagarika Flats after being caught red-handed between the sheets with another man's wife.
Only identified as Zenzo, the vendor stays in the same neighbourhood and is alleged to have been enjoying quality time with the married woman identified as Karen. The illicit affair came to light around mid morning when they were allegedly caught red-handed in Karen's apartment at Block No. 57 Tagarika Flats in Mbare, Zimbabwe. The two were caught by Karen's uncle, after receiving a tip-off from neighbours.

For them, singing is a form of therapy that helps them cope with the stigma they face. “I experience stigmatisation every single day of my life. A woman was arraigned in court for the charges of assault after slashing her husband’s hand and nose with a machete on New Year’s Eve.

The court heard that on 31st December last year at Sipili Trading Center, Esther Nyokabi was at her home in the evening and her husband Daniel Githura arrived late after a drinking spree. Nyokabi who was waiting for him started an argument.

Nigerian designer Shaun Akanbi stabbed to death in the UK

Nigerian born UK based designer, Shaun Akanbi, founder of Billy Boyce clothing line was stabbed to death in his London flat on Saturday December 22nd. The 26 year old budding designer also known as Moshood Abiola Akanbi, was found dead after police forced their way into his flat in Cedar Lodge, Exeter Road, Kilburn, around 4.45pm following concerns about his welfare.

A postmortem gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds to the torso. On January 4, 2013, police arrested two men aged 19 and 20 on suspicion of murder. The following day, Achraf Jandara, 20 of Laing House, Comber Grove, Camberwell, south London, was charged with murder. The other suspect was released on bail.

Tributes have been left on the official Facebook page for Billy Boyce.
