US First Lady, Michelle Obama raised eyebrows with her brief slip of the tongue yesterday Thursday April 4th when she described herself as a 'busy single mum' during an interview with a Vermont CBS station, the Flotus.
She caught her mistake immediately and explained: "You know, when you've got the husband who's president, it can feel a little single, but he's there,". She then described herself as 'busy working mom."

The First Lady was answering questions about the difficulties that working parents can have when they try to balance their office lives with their home lives. "Before coming to the White House, I was in that position," she confessed. "Working, driving kids to practice, not having enough time to shop or cook, not having the energy." R.I.P : Legendary film critic, Roger Ebert, dies at 70

The American journalist, film critic and screenwriter, who was once described by Forbes as "the most powerful pundit in America" died today April 4th at the age of 70 after an 11-year battle with cancer.

Ebert underwent surgery in 2006 to remove cancerous tissue near his right jaw, which included removing a section of his lower jaw. The surgery took his ability to talk, eat or drink, but never stopped him from writing or reviewing movies.

Ebert began working as the Chicago Sun-Times film critic in 1967, and became a household name after winning the Pulitzer Prize in 1975 and hosting several movie-review TV shows.

Ebert was the first film critic to win a Pulitzer Prize, and the first to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

D'banj was mentioned on Live with Kelly and Michael, a top syndicated morning talk show, hosted by Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. The male host, Michael, read out the top five songs for working out at the gym and D'banj's Oliver Twist was mentioned at number 3 after Psy's Gangnam Style (5) and Keisha's Die Young (4). After we got back together, my relationship with the second lady continued. She's from a rich home and spoils me silly but I find her too controlling and too jealous. The third girl I met via Facebook just last year. She lives in Canada and wants me to join her there. I love these women differently and I was going to play around for a few more years but they are all now insisting on marriage. The problem is I don't know which one to propose to. Should I pick the woman who has been with me the longest and has a child for me, or the lady who has a lot of money and can give me an easy life or the one in Canada who doesn't give me drama like the other two? Fast Rising Musical Artist ''Oba DC'' Allegedly Ráp-es Cossy Orjiakor

A rumor circulating around town has it that one of Nigeria’s fast rising musical artiste ‘OBA DC’ who started his career with a local successful single “LARIMO” released summer 2010 and has performed in and out of the country at several top events was nabbed recently for allegedly raping the super busty actress COSSY.

Investigations are still ongoing and we are yet to confirm from the victim, upon enquiry from the police, the police spokesperson Mr Okworocha Sambo said the police have not released any official statement on the case. We gathered from a source that the incident occurred inside club G-4 in Victoria Island, Lagos.  

It was reported that Cossy entered the restroom and OBA DC who has been eyeing her walked into the female restroom minutes after. We cannot ascertain how long they were in there, but we learnt that she panicked out of the restroom and left the club immediately.

At long last, Chris Brown has spoken about the alleged WEED smoking incident in Ghana, blaming the media for making a fuss about something ordinary. During a recent interview on Power 105.1 ‘The Breakfast Club Show’, he defended himself by saying;

“There’s a thing I did on my whole tour called smoke by the brain…So there’s a part of the show that goes to a collage of all the songs that talk about weed…and everybody knows I have a medical cause for marijuana but for me I don’t smoke it on stage…

Its a fake light like the way they have the pre-rolled tobacco.. so at every show I fake it…now that I gave the secret away…But in certain cities like Amsterdam and LA I definitely did. But as far as in places where I can get into trouble I avoid it. It was the press over there that made a big fuss about the whole thing, everything else was cool. It was just the press, so it made it seem like it was a situation but it wasn’t”.

Respected Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi has sensationally asserted that Jesus Christ did not die on the cross and there was therefore no basis for Christians to celebrate Easter.

According to Gumi, Jesus was only comatose. Gumi made this postulation on his facebook page on a post titled 'Easter Musings'.

Pastor accused of raping minors at orphanage

A pastor and director of Light of Hope Orphanage at Akute, Ogun State, identified simply as Mr. Atunde, was on Wednesday arrested by policemen from Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos State for allegedly raping two minors at his orphanage.

Punch  Metro learnt that Zone 2 began investigating Atunde after receiving a petition fromProject Alert against him.

Project Alert, a non-governmental organisation, said the petition was prompted by a teacher of the school which the minors attended. One of the minors (name withheld) had allegedly showed up at school in March with blood dripping down her legs.

 Former Super Eagles defender, Taribo West, has been accused of lying about his age by one of his formerclub presidents. According to a report on Daily Mail, Taribo joined Serbian team Partizan Belgrade in 2002 after leaving Derby County and told club bosses he was 28. But now the former president of Partizan, Zarko Zecevic, has accused him of lying, saying the defender was actually 40.

"He joined us saying he was 28. We only later found out he was 40, but he was still playing well so I don’t regret having him on the team,' Zecevic said.

But according to the Croatian media, the former defender also lied when trying to join Croatia’s Rijeka club. At the age of 44, they said West told club doctors he was only 32.

Roc Nation Sports will be led by Jay Z with Juan Perez serving as president. They have partnered with CAA Sports, a division of Creative Artists Agency to co-represent the All-Star second baseman.
