Photo: 6 Polish Skin-Heads(Neo-nazis) Pound Congolese student studying in Lodz
Christian Matur, a Congolese student studying in Lodz. Poland attacked by 6 Polish men suspected to be Skin Heads in a club toilet on Saturday 09th August 2014. The incident has been reported to the Police and one man has been arrested. Enquiries are ongoing and i will follow-up directly with Ministry of Interior officials to ensure that justice is done. I hope this incident galvanises all civic minded people here to show courage and take a stand and renounce this brutal act of violence and show solidarity with brother Chrisitan.

Dead body of man who allegedly killed his wife after she gave birth to twins, found
On Friday August 8th, a person identified as Kola allegedly strangled his wife to death only a day after she gave birth to their twins and disappeared with the youngsters (read here). His corpse has been found.
In accordance with a statement signed by the Ekiti State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Victor Babayemi, Kola's body was dumped in a canal at Oke Ila area in Ado Ekiti, after being killed by unknown persons. The statement also said the twins are yet to be found.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man, Phillip Katongu, for allegedly stabbing his wife to death. Katongu, who hails from Wamba, Nasarawa State, was apprehended by operatives of the Department of Criminal Investigations, Yaba, Lagos.
The police said the victim, Justina, was stabbed to death in a street at Oniru Estate, Maroko, Lagos, where she and her husband were living.

Ebola Scare: Food for thought on Religion vs Ebola !!
Around 6:30 or so this morning, I heard an alfa/iman saying Ebola outbreak is a sign that we don't obey God's law and so on......
He advised that people shouldn't bath with salt and hot water (cool, though he didn't prescribe any cure or preventive method) rather, he said "we are God's people, God's people don't sick". They all recited some wording in Arabic, later, they closed.
Now its the church's time.

We were set to throw in a joke or two with whomever we were going to engage in the market. For a better bargain, we had rehearsed a number of sales related proverbs so we could bond properly with the seller.

Ebola Suspected Patient: Canadian Returning from Nigeria Shows Symptoms.
The patient with flu-like symptoms who recently visited Nigeria and was put into isolation at an Ontario hospital has tested negative for the deadly Ebola virus.
Ontario's Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, Eric Hoskins confirmed that the man, who recently travelled to Canada from Nigeria, where the outbreak has prompted a state of emergency, is now "doing well" and anticipated to have a "full and speedy recovery."
Hoskins said in a release, posted to the Ontario ministry's website:
Pres.GEJ Wants Age Limit for Presidency Abolished
The Constitution currently stipulates 40 years as the minimum age for anyone seeking the greatest office in the land. But Jonathan said age limit was a discrimination against Nigerian youths who he explained have most of the wherewithals to lead the country.
The President said:
“The youths have no limit in terms of number and capacity to lead this country to greatness. The only limit is that for youths to contest as President, they need to be 40. If Gen. Yakubu Gowon was able to rule this country at 32, there is no reason why the youths should not be given the chance. I think what the youth should do now is to come together, and I will support you, and take a bill to the National Assembly to amend some discriminatory provisions of the constitution in terms of age.’’
