Mild drama unfolded: As Woman Dramatises Release After 4months in Kirikiri Prison
A mild drama unfolded yesterday at the Female Security Prisons, Kirikiri, Lagos, after a female banker who was released from prison, went wild in jubilation immediately the gates of the prison were flung open for her to go home.
The woman (names withheld) was slammed with a four-month imprisonment, over a two count charge of conniving with some persons to fraudulently withdraw millions of naira from the Okokomaiko branch of a first generation bank, last year.
Immediately she stepped out of the walls that had incarcerated her for months, she looked up to the sky, then to her left and right, apparently to ascertain which direction leads to her home.

I thought of a scenario where it is possible for a convict to choose where to serve his or her jail term. Imagine a suspect saying: “My Lord, I plead guilty to all the crimes for which I have been charged by the prosecutor. My allocution is however that in sentencing me, temper justice with mercy by sending me to Bastoy Prison in Norway.”

A man, Akeem Amodu, and his wife, Awawu Oluyide, are at daggers’ drawn over who the true father of their one-month-old baby girl is. The baby was christened on February 17 but the ceremony wasn’t held in Amodu’s house. Before the date, Awawu had packed her belongings and relocated to the home of her boyfriend with her baby. The casino now holds a world record of a cooked bacon cheeseburger which is three meters in diameter and weighs over a ton. The giant burger was served at Black Bear Casino Resort near Carlton, Minnesota and tipped the scale at 2014 pounds or 914 kilograms.
Philip Robertson, a representative of the Guinness World Records verified the record as the largest burger. He called the feat a result of "remarkable teamwork" and said the burger "tasted really good". According to the news media, the previous record for a burger was only 400 kilograms. The Black Bear Casino burger included 27 kilos of bacon, 23 kilos of lettuce, 23 kilos of onions, 18 kilos of pickles and 18 kilos of cheese.It took about four hours to cook the burger. A crane was used to flip the burger. Locals enjoyed the delicious burger which they were able to eat free of charge.

The Lagos State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) Obafaiye Shem has said that he has never visited his organisation's website. Speaking as a guest on Channels Television's breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily, Mr Shem said the website opened by impostors to defraud unsuspecting job seekers would be automatically closed.
Asked to mention the NSCDC's web address, Mr Shem said "I cannot categorically tell you one now." Probed further to name the organisation's website, the commandant said the address is: www.nscdc. A Channels Television's reporter checked the web address and noticed that it was incorrect. Further search on the internet showed that the correct web address for the Civil Defence Corp is www.nscdc.gov.ng

Armed robbers enter Delta Church, Snatch Church Offering Box During Sunday Service, Kill Worshipper
A five-man gang of armed robbers has raided a new generation church(name withheld) in Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North East of Delta State and snatched the church’s offering and abducted the security guard, leaving one person dead.
An eye witness said the robbers shot sporadically into the air to pave way for their operation in the church at about 10:30am during prayer session and ordered the worshippers to face the ground while their operation lasted.
