Keshi Says, "I Will Try to Speak to Odemwingie" -- Do You Think This Is A Good Idea?

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has offered some sympathy for Osaze Odemwingie, as the striker continues his war of words with West Bromwich Albion, and says he will try to talk to him.

Odemwingie was reportedly fined £76,000 by the club after he again took to Twitter to vent his frustrations at his ill treatment. Keshi, who has also been at the receiving end of some Twitter fireworks from the forward, was quick to jump to his aid when questioned about the current situation.  "Osaze is a good kid. But right now, I don't know exactly what's going on with him. "I was surprised when I read that he had been fined such a huge sum of money. But it is hard to say what exactly the situation is until I speak to him." And Keshi says he plans to do so. "I will try to speak to him. Maybe when I talk to him, we can understand a little more of what he is going through, but he’s a good person."

Super Eagles defender Godfrey Oboabona has said he hopes to move to one of the top five leagues in Europe in the summer.

The Sunshine Stars of Akure defender in an exclusive interview with MTNFootball.com stated that he already has offers from Spain, England, Germany, Italy and France.

“I already have offers from the top five leagues in the world. But like you know the transfer window had closed by the time the Nations Cup ended,” he stated.

Eccentric Kanye West wants to call his baby by Kim Kardashian, North. The rapper, 35, came up with a list of potential names for the baby due in July, but North is at the top because he thinks it sounds good with his surname.

He sounded out pals about the moniker last month while working in Paris during fashion week. But the title is unlikely to go down well with girlfriend Kim, 32, whose family have a tradition of starting their first names with a K.

Kim might also have a problem with her boyfriend’s next album title - I Am God.

Lauren Yardley of Coventry, UK, only wanted to look curvy. But she got a lot more than she bargained for, no thanks to a horrific breast implant gone wrong.

Yardley, 25, underwent surgery to boost her bust from a modest A cup to a voluptuous DD. The trouble began two months after surgery, when her right breast swelled larger than her left and began to feel hard and painful.

She was told by doctors her body had rejected the implant -- a not-uncommon side effect she had been warned about.

Yardley underwent surgery again to fix the implant, but the problem worsened -- to the point where her implant fell out of her body through the stitches in her breast.

Former basketball coach pleads guilty to kidnapping, beating 13 yr old to make him attend practice

A former Oregon youth basketball coach pleaded guilty yesterday to kidnapping and beating one of his players with a belt to persuade the 13-year-old to attend practices.

Leslie Jerome Lewis, 54, was sentenced to 5 ⅓ years in prison after entering a guilty plea in Multnomah County Circuit Court to first-degree mistreatment and coercion charges, The Oregonian reported.

Defense attorney Bill Redden said his client believed he had acted for the good of the child.

"He felt that corporal discipline would motivate the victim in this case to show up to practices," Redden said. "Mr. Lewis realizes that was a very bad decision."

Police arrested Lewis at his apartment on Sept. 23, after receiving a call from a neighbor who had heard the boy screaming, “Help me!”

According to court documents, the boy told police Lewis had whipped him 40 times with a belt, The Oregonian reported.

Lewis coached in the Above the Rim youth basketball league in the Portland neighborhood of Woodland Park.

Nigerian striker, Peter Odemwingie has been punished with another fine for his latest Twitter where he insinuated that West Brom are trying to ruin his career.

He has now been fined over £170,000 for various outbursts on the social media site.  The latest one could have gotten Odemwingie sacked but the club will not be going that way though it is now almost sure that he will be sold in the summer with one year left on his contract.   He said on Twitter: “If they like they shouldn’t even give me 10 mins to play. Following his arrest and arraignment, an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday ordered a Pastor, Ilesanmi Emmanuel of Christ Apostolic Church to be remanded in prison custody for the raping and impregnating of a teenage girl.

 Magistrate Adefunke Ajibade described the case as a pathetic one, especially as it involved a minor and a pastor that should be a father and shepherd of flocks in a public church.

Pastor Emmanuel allegedly told the girl that she would die if she tells anyone he had intercourse with her.

The first daughter of former head of state, Ibrahim Babangida, married Shinkafi less than two years after her marriage to first husband, Basheer Nalado Garba ended.  Aisha married Basheer in 2003 and Shinkafi in 2008 as his third wife. She's single again in 2013. The reason for the marriage break up is unknown.
