Visafone and Stanbic IBTC Bank Sack 60 to 250 Workers Respectively !
Yesterday April 30th Visafone fired over 60 of their staff nationwide. Stanbic IBTC also sacked 250 of their staff. The sack takes effect from today May 1st.
The Stanbic IBTC sack yesterday crossed across all levels, from management to lower level staff and I hear this is just the first batch. The bank is planning to do another round later this year.
The sack at Stanbic yesterday only affected full staff employees as the bank intends to make its workforce 20% permanent staff and 80% contract staff. The total workforce before the sack yesterday was about 3000.

It turns out that women working in the adult entertainment industry tend to have higher self-esteem, higher levels of energy, and are physically healthier than the average woman.
In this study, researchers compared 177 p-õrn stars with a comparable sampling of women employed in less erotic industries. Findings are shattering many of the common stereotypes surrounding p-õrn stars.

“Stereotypes of those involved in adult entertainment have been used to support or condemn the industry and to justify political views on p-õrnography, although the actual characteristics of actresses are unknown because no study on this group of women has been conducted. Some descriptions of actresses in p-õrnography have included attributes such as drug addiction, homelessness, poverty, desperation, and being victims of séxual abuse.”
It is also a well-known fact that women in the adult film industry have regular checkups with their doctor- more so than most other women.
To summarize- being a female p-õrn star leads to a life full of séx, wealth, and health.

Nursing Mother, Husband, 94 Kirikiri Inmates Freed
A nursing mother, Comfort James, who gave birth to a son, Emmanuel, during her remand in Kirikiri prison, and her husband, Bassey Ude, were among the 96 prisoners released from the facility by the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Ayotunde Philips, on Tuesday.
Philips, while on a visit aimed at decongesting the prisons, released eight female prisoners from the women section and 88 men from the Medium section of the prisons.
The Deputy Comptroller of Prison in charge of the female section of the prison, Mrs. Isioma Onwuli, said there were four pregnant women in the prison, and with Comfort’s release, there are now eight babies left.

The Abia State-born suspect, who was arrested with an Ak 47 rifle, told Crime Alert that he is a deliverance minister at The Bride Assembly, a Church located at Ijesha area of the State. How can you date a guy for eight years and not know that he's G-ay ? Well, it's very possible. That's exactly what happened to Carolyn Moos, Jason Collins' ex-fiance. Jason made history yesterday by becoming the first active NBA player to come out as g-ay. Before then he was living as a straight man. He dated Carolyn, a '6''6' female basketball star for eight years and even proposed to her. In 2009, a few months to their wedding, Jason called it off and ended things with her. Carolyn told TMZ today that she never once suspected that Jason was g-ay while they were dating and only found out this past weekend when he revealed everything to her before coming out to the world and also told her his homosexuality was the real reason he ended things with her in 2009. Carolyn told TMZ:
"It's very emotional for me as a woman to have invested 8 years in my dream to have a husband, soul mate, and best friend in him. So this is all hard to understand."

Actress Foluke Daramola About to drag Bukola Fasuyi to court for libel
Actress Foluke Daramola is getting ready to sue her former friend and journalist Bukola Fasuyi for defamation of character. Bukola had claimed in an interview that she introduced Foluke to her new husband, Kayode Salako, and that Foluke had used juju to charm Kayode and break his home.
According to people close to Foluke, she and some family members have contacted their lawyer to sue Bukola for character assassination. Bukola will soon appear in court to prove that Foluke indeed used diabolical means to obtain Kayode Salako.

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde has finished building the first suspension bridge in Nigeria. The 1.358kmbridge, which will link Ikoyi (Alexander Street) to Lekki (Admiralty Way), cost about N29 billion to build and a toll will be collected to recoup the investment. The link bridge was built by Julius Berger.

Botswana president injured in cheetah 'attack'
Botswana's president Ian Khama has received two stitches in his face after being clawed by a cheetah, local media reported Monday.
The incident occurred at a Botswana Defence Force barracks last week, the Sunday Standard reported on its website, quoting government spokesman Jeff Ramsay.
Ramsay said it was a "freak accident, but not an attack".The cheetah was reportedly being fed in an enclosure close to where Khama was standing and somehow managed to get its claw to the president's face.
Khama was not admitted to hospital, but did receive treatment. He was seen last week with a plaster on his face.
Ramsay said there were "no real security implications", adding that because of the minor nature of the injuries the government had initially decided not to issue a public statement.

Man resorts to Stealing Car to rush pregnant girlfriend to hospital
A pregnant woman in-labor drove herself to the hospital as her boyfriend 31-year-old Robert Boudreaux from Deltona Florida does not have a license to drive a vehicle.
On the way to the hospital the girlfriend's car ran out of gas so the couple walked several miles. After the 22-year-old girlfriend began to feel dehydrated and complained that she was bleeding, Boudreaux came up with a plan, instead of calling 911 or a cab, Boudreaux stopped a passing car and asked the driver to take them to the hospital but the driver refused to take them.
