Lebanese man arrested for kidnapping in Lagos

 A 23 year old Lebanese man has been arrested by police in Lagos for kidnapping his 61 year old aunt, Alhaja Essa Dannawi. Mohammed Dannawi (pictured above) conspired with a former employee of his aunt, Obi Kwentua, (pictured above) to kidnap the woman on May 2nd at her home in Ebute Meta, Lagos.

Mohammed, who later confessed to the crime, told police during interrogation that he didn't kidnap his aunt because of money but to punish her because she offended him and his wife. He said:
“My aunty did something very bad to my wife and I and so I decided to punish her. I met with Obi (Kwentua) and told him that I wanted my aunty kidnapped. I gave him the spare key to her house and he in turn hired some boys to do the work. On the day of the operation, I left the house and five guys stormed the place and took my aunty away. The plan was not to demand money from her, it was just punishment.”

A very big disaster was averted last Sunday, May 19th, when an SAA South African Airways Airbus A340-600, registration ZS-SNG performing flight SA-60 from Johannesburg (South Africa) to Lagos (Nigeria) conveying over 300 people developed an electrical fault in Mid-air. I got this info from someone on the flight and i am suprised that it's not in the news.

I heard about it yesterday when a work colleague of mine was narrating the entire story to me and another guy in his car. According to him, he was on the flight that faithful day..it was a night flight and he was listening to music from his Ipod when he perceived a foul burning odor, he thought the white man sitting next to him had farted but he knew it something more serious when he noticed people panicking.

Rayford Ellis pleaded guilty alongside his cousin, Timothy Ellis, and both received 15-year sentences for sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl in Texas.

The Texas girl who was the horrific victim of gang rapes at age 11 is now 14 and seven months pregnant.

Twenty men and boys were accused of repeatedly raping the girl in 2010 in the small town of Cleveland, about 50 miles northeast of Houston.

Most of the suspects pleaded guilty or have been convicted. The accused included two high-school sports stars.

She was quite excited and proud to have made history and said: “It is very uplifting and I feel very proud of myself though it has been very challenging. Coming from the civil war and the civil mentality, the Air Force has done a great job because it has changed our orientation. A man who set up a video camera to film ghosts in his home had the fright of his life - when he busted his live-in girlfriend having s-èx with his 16-year-old son.  Footage he hoped would reveal signs of paranormal activity in his Tasmania, Australia, house instead showed his two loved ones kissing and then having intercourse.

For those who saw the injuries on late banker, Titi Arowolo, you will all agree that it didn't look self-inflicted. But the man standing trial for her murder is still insisting she killed herself. 

Kolade Arowolo was in court yesterday May 22nd and told the court that Titi actually attacked him with the knife and eventually turned the knife on herself. He said: "I'm not that kind of person. I loved her so much".

Explaining what happened on June 24th 2011, Kolade said he and his wife had sex on that day. He said they'd agreed to stay indoors throughout the day since it was his birthday, adding that he, however, went out to withdraw money which they would use in celebrating his birthday. Continue..

He said, “On June 24, 2011, after we had sex, we made some commitments one of which included that she (Titilayo) would no longer be running off to her parents’ home whenever we fought and we decided that we would do everything possible to make the marriage work. I am a lawyer who had a baby last year and I have been at home since. NELSON Mandela’s daughters are suing him for the rights to his artworks and control of his millions, it has been reported.  According to the Star on Monday, Zenani and Makaziwe Mandela intended fighting an order of Johannesburg High Court in April 2004, which gave Mandela the right to instruct Ismail Ayob, his then lawyer, to stop managing his financial, personal and legal affairs.

The order also barred Ayob from selling any of Mandela’s artworks.
