Two weeks after his son flew from Benin City to Lagos in the wheel compartment of an aircraft belonging to Arik Air, Daniel Ohikhena’s father denies claims that he abandoned his family.
Little is known about Daniel Ohikhena, the 13-year-old stowaway who flew from Benin City to Lagos in the wheel compartment of a plane belonging to Arik Air, by his schoolmates at Ogbe Junior Secondary School in the Edo State capital.
Shortly before his celebrated escapade, Daniel’s mother, Mrs. Evelyn Ohikhena, had withdrawn him from a private secondary school for want of money to pay his tuition fees. She had enrolled him in OJSS, which was about 500 metres from her residence.

I am 35, my wife is a year younger. We’ve been married for seven years but have been trying for a baby without success.We both got checked out and I was told the problem was mine and untreatable. Our only options were sperm donation or adoption.
We decided to go ahead with the donor option. My parents were supportive and willing to help with the cost, but we had no luck. My wife was beside herself and this had an impact on our relationship, and on my work as I found it hard to concentrate.

In a joint 11-page complaint to the police, two of the five daughters have stated that their father Babu Lal Dhakar, former supervisor with the state agriculture department, ráp-ed them several times prior to their marriages. The ráp-es took place as soon as the daughters entered Class eight, and continued till they lived in his house at Bayana village, some 150 km from the capital Jaipur.

Lobatan: Woman discovers that her husband was her FATHER
An Ohio woman is finally speaking out about the pain she suffered after discovering that the man she married also fathered her.
Valerie Spruill of Doylestown learned of her husband's identity six years after he passed away in 1998 thanks to an uncle who eventually came forward with the truth, the Akron Beacon Journal reported.
She says she is now going public with her past in the hopes that it will inspire those going through a rough time.
"I want this to be more of an inspirational story," the 60-year-old told the newspaper. "If I've come through this, anyone can come through anything through the help of the Lord."
Valerie's mother and father, Percy Spruill, first started seeing each other when he was 15. It remains unclear how many children they had together, though Valerie says she is aware of six brothers.

Attempted murder: Drama as defendant’s father weeps in court
There was a mild drama at a Lagos High Court yesterday in the trial of a commercial bus driver, Quadri Kasali, charged with alleged attempted murder of Justice Ebenezer Adebajo, as the father of the defendant disrupted the proceeding, pleading for mercy. Justice Balogun had, at the last hearing, dismissed a bail application filed on behalf of the defendant, but assured an accelerated hearing of the case. Shortly after hearing resumed yesterday, the father of the defendant, Aderemi Kasali, suddenly interrupted the proceeding, lying flat on the floor, crying and pleading that the judge should have mercy on his son. It took the intervention of the court’s orderly to stop the drama when he took the man out of the courtroom as ordered by the judge.
