In Harrold, a tiny Texas town, children and their parents don’t give much thought to safety at the community’s lone school, mostly because some of the teachers are carrying concealed weapons. The teachers’ mandate is not only to educate the children, but also protect them. In remote Harrold, the nearest sheriff’s office is 30 minutes away, and people tend to know and trust one another. So the school board voted to let teachers bring guns to school.

Victor Cingolani (pictured above) was jailed for the 2010 murder of 19-year-old model Johana Casas (pictured with him above). Tomorrow December 22nd, her twin sister Edith (pictured above, right) will marry the killer in Pico Truncade, Argentina, close to the jail where he is serving 13 years for the murder of Johana.

Just two days after posting on her Instagram page that she was single, Rihanna is singing a different tune.   Yesterday Chris Brown Tweeted, then quickly deleted, a picture of himself and Rihanna (pictured above on the left) with the caption - Always started with Breezy like the Letter B and last night Rihanna did the same thing, only she didn't delete her picture. She posted a photo of their hands entwined with the caption - throw back to last Thursday. Ha! I need paracetamol! :-)

Kano Controller, Department of Petroleum Product (DPR), Alhaji Sayyadi Suleiman Abubakar has revealed that Nigerian Marketers now import AGO and Liquefied Petroleum Gas(LPG) from neighboring OPEC member country, Niger Republic. Briefing reporters in his office on the activities of his department, Alhaji Sayyadi Suleiman Abubakar explained that the two products are in the exclusive list of deregulated items, adding that “it could be acquired from anywhere and sold in the Nigerian market.

And as you would expect, there are a lot of interesting twists to this version of the game! The board’s layout was unveiled at an event in Lagos City Hall, with the manmade Banana Island named as the up-market equivalent of Mayfair in the London edition while Makoko, the slum built over the city’s lagoon, is the cheapest property for sale on the Lagos board.

A landlord and another tenant have landed in trouble in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria after they used machetes to settle scores. While the landlord, Frank Uduzon inflicted injury on the face of his female tenant, Chioma Obi, a tenant, Sochukwu Donatus, also used a cutlass in inflicting injury on his landlady, Mrs Felicia Egwu. The incident happened at both Ikotun and Meiran areas of Lagos.

Door frames, shelves and public transport don’t worry most people, but when you are the world’s tallest family, they’re a danger. Keisha and Wilco van Kleef-Bolton have a combined height of 13ft 5in. Seven foot of that is Wilco; his wife stretches the measuring tape to 6ft 5in. Not surprisingly, the children are following in Mum and Dad’s (pretty huge) footsteps. Lucas is 4ft 5in at the age of six — average for a ten- year-old.  Eva, four, is 3ft 7in, typical of a girl a year older. And at six weeks old, Baby Jonah is just two inches shy of 2ft long. The children are destined to lives of stooping through doorways and retrieving things from high shelves for old ladies in supermarkets.
