The President, Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has been named the most powerful man in Africa and 64th in the world by the Forbes magazine.

Saturday, October 26, 2013, it was a night of undiluted groove and fun as some Nigerian celebrities gathered at Swanky's Alibi Lush Mall, located at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, for the Lee's Celebrity Monthly Birthday Party.

The party was for the September and October edition and it proved to be very successful one. The hosts of the event, the eclectic Shine OAP Cool FM Lagos and the humorous Omobaba did an excellent job in giving the show a class. It was a night of partying like never before.

World Bank Thinks Nigeria is 122nd best place for business ( Do you agree or not ?)

The World Bank has ranked Nigeria 147th among the best places for doing business. Additionally it ranked the nation while the 122nd for best countries to start a business. The report released, yesterday, said Nigeria's low ranking is mainly brought on by electricity problems, where the nation is ranked 185th out of 189 countries evaluated. The very first African country on the list is Rwanda, ranked 32nd.

The King of R&B, R. Kelly was nowhere found at the R.Kelly Live Concert in Louisiana last weekend as fans waited for three hours after buying tickets to the show. Instead, a phony R. Kelly turned up late and lip sung through the concert, according to 8 News.

Reports say fans haven't stopped complaining bitterly after paying good money [$150] only to obtain a lip-synching impostor perform in the exact same concert at the Monroe Civic Center,La. Organizers apparently advertised the singer Saturday night [Oct.26] but once a performer finally took the stage, it wasn't the true R.Kelly.

A colleague shared his peronal experience of how his neighborhood in Ketu was thrown into Chaos yesterday evening. Agbero boys seeking to gather ‘rent'(owo ile) from the master of a 20 feet container unleashed terror on the Ketu neighbourhood, maiming people and destroying parked vehicles.

In the heat of the mayhem, he couldn't remember any emergency number other compared to the 911 ingrained in his brain from watching American films, and he dialled it just for the sheer hell of it.

Usually the Non-Nigerians are cool when they just ask are you from Africa, and you say Yes, thats it, the whites, hispanic and Asians just really consider that if you're not American then you're from "Africa" /End of discussion. In the spirit of aproko that's been bestowed on all of us, Nigerians prefer to poke nose, when even whenever you answer you're from Nigeria they insist what side, which state and which local government area (seriously?).
