My friends were like it was too soon since we barely know our selves, I was staying in Abuja while him in Lagos, I just come occasionally to visit him, so after a year, we figured it was time to move to the next level which was very amazing.

A 25-year-old Nigerian tiler, Ebenezer Makati, who allegedly bit off part of his girlfriend’s two ears, following a lover’s spat, on Tuesday appeared before a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Makati, who lives on Marwa Street, Elf Bus Stop, Lekki, is facing a two-count charge of unlawful assault and infliction of grievous bodily harm on his girlfriend, Peace Tunde.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Daniel Ighodalo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on 16 February at the Goshen Estate in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos at 11:00 p.m.

He said that the lovers fought following the absence of Tunde at the residence of the accused on Valentine’s Day.

February 5, a 35-year-old physically challenged barber, Obehi Emienor, from a polygamous family in Ekpon community, Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State, kidnapped his mother, Mrs. Kate Emienor, demanding N20 million ransom to release her from his elder brother (not of the same father), who is abroad.

Obehi, based in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, tricked his mother to bring some foodstuff for him from the village and waited for her at Agbor, from where he took her to his rented apartment at Ogbe Isheagu quarters. He held her hostage for 10 days, while meeting with his siblings in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, to discuss her kidnap and freedom.

Five days after the death of popular Nigerian singer, Goldie, the allegedly ex-wife of Goldie's husband, Andrew Harvey,  is opening cans of worms. Ifeoma went on her facebook page to express her disappointment over her ex- husband's failure to acknowledge their marriage and  that he is hurting their kids. She concluded by warning him that more lies would result in legal prosecutions.

 

What is happening? So many questions on my mind. Why didn't she speak out when Goldie was alive? Why is Andrew still posting on Goldie's page as admin trying  justify his claims that Goldie had nothing to do with Prezzo.  Please Mr & (new) Mrs Harvey, let Goldie rest in peace.

Be Aware: Potatoe Chips Increases Cancer Risk

EATING chips just ONCE a week could raise men’s cancer risk by a third, scientists say.

A single portion every seven days may heighten the danger of prostate cancer by 30 to 37 per cent, according to a new study.

Other fatty foods including fried chicken, battered fish and doughnuts may have the same effect — and cause the most aggressive types of tumours.

The findings arose out of research in the US city of Seattle, where 3,000 men were quizzed on their eating habits.

However Cancer Research UK said a single survey was not enough to conclude “for certain” if there was a link.

Meanwhile a New York probe into the causes of acne has found spots may be made worse by eating too much potato, white bread, pasta and dairy food.

What’s a boy’s 16th birthday party without strippers and lap dances? A New York mother has been charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child after she allegedly hired two strippers to perform lap dances on the guests at her son’s 16th birthday party.  Judy Viger, 33, hired the women from a company called Tops in Bottoms and arranged for them to perform in a private room at the Spare Time Bowling Center in South Glens Falls on Nov. 3.

At the party, the women performed what police describe as “personal and intimate” dances with the party guests, some of whom were as young as 13. Approximately 80 people attended the party, including a 13-year-old and many adults who later said they were outraged at the sexually charged performances.

A homeless man’s good deed has not gone unnoticed.

When Billy Ray Harris, a homeless Kansas City, Mo., man, returned a diamond and platinum engagement ring to the woman who had accidentally dropped it into his beggar’s cup, he wasn’t looking for a reward.

“My grandfather was a reverend. He raised me from the time I was 6 months old, and thank the good lord. It’s a blessing, but I do still have some character,” Harris told KCTV5 last week.

Catherine Venusto, a 45-year-old mother of two, was unhappy with her daughter’s grades. Instead of letting her daughter suffer the consequences for doing poorly, she decided to change her daughter’s failing grades, by hacking into the school's system.  As for her son, he was doing great in school as he got a 98% on his exam, but she wasn’t happy with the grade, so she changed it to a 99%.  According to investigators, she had done this 100s of times before she was caught.  Venusto, is a former secretary of the school, therefore she knew the superintendent’s password which she used from her home computer to log into the school’s system and change the grades. State police say, Venusto admitted changing the grades, saying she thought her actions were unethical but legal.

A teacher loved her student so much she decided to carry his baby. Police say a Colorado school teacher has admitted having a child with a student and is facing charges of sexual assault.  The Spanish teacher Rhonda Eisenberg was booked into jail one afternoon in Weld County after police said she admitted to having sex with a 17-year-old while he was living with her.

This is beginning to look like a not too pleasant year for Nigerian Entertainers as we're still mourning the passing away of Goldie, another movie icon, Justus Esiri, has died. According to different sources and his son's confessions, Justus Esiri's family lost him to diabetes caused by old age.

He was said to have passed on about 3 hours ago in a Lagos hospital. A source said the now late Justus Esiri has been secretly battling diabetes for a while but his family chose to make it a secret until his sudden demise Monday night at the age of 71.

But for Charlene Machin, it was a moment of terror – for her son had been born with half of his face missing. The 33-year-old had given birth to twin boys Oliver and Harry, but doctors discovered baby Harry had been born with a severe facial deformity.

Mrs Machin, from Stoke-on-Trent, recalled how, when her sons were born seven years ago, she kept apologising to husband Mark after hearing the news.

The sandwich was made by Tangberry coffee house in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, U.K.

It’s called The Bacon Bling Sandwich and it’s being called the world’s most expensive sandwich according to The World Record Academy, but NOT the Guinness World Records (record drama).

It’s currently being sold for charity, with proceeds going to SKRUM, a British charity which helps children in Swaziland learn to play rugby, and the Regular Forces Employment Association.

Ingredients: 7 rashers of rare breed pig bacon, sliced truffles, saffron, a free range egg, and most importantly, edible gold dust.

Of course, Singapore isn’t the only country where you can get busted for being nak^d in your own house! Well, you could, but you’d be facing a possible $1,136 fine. If that sounds bad, wait until you see the cost of selling chewing gum.

If you’re caught either selling or manufacturing gum in Singapore you’re looking at a fine of $5,600 and one year in jail.

It’s also a $284 fine if you use a public toilet and forget to flush.

Oscar Pistorius appeared in court today and gave his account of what happened at his home the night he shot his girlfriend dead. As far as I'm concerned, it's BS. See it below

He claimed he had been on the balcony of his house when he heard noises from the bathroom. Believing Reeva Steenkamp was asleep in bed, he grabbed his gun and shouted a warning before firing four shots through the door. It was only then, Pistorius claims that he realised Miss Steenkamp was not in bed.

'I kicked the door open,' he said  'I tried to help her but she died in my arms.'

You shouted a warning and she didn't respond? I'm beginning to believe this man is a cold blooded killer. His explanation makes no sense. Is the bathroom not in the bedroom? Okay, I hardly comment on entertainment and showbiz news. I prefer to stay on the national issues/political terrain which are my jurisdiction. However, I could not hold back the temptation to do a piece on Darey’s ‘Love Like A Movie’ concert.

No doubt, the LLAM held in Lagos was superb; star-studded, proper management, lights, sounds et al. In fact not a few have adjudged the show the best of its type in recent years. The ovation and positive review was not unexpected considering the artiste involved. Dude is good-looking, knows his onions, greatly talented and business oriented.
