The music duo of Peter and Paul Okoye making up the group P Square has been announced by the Central Working Committee (CWC) of The Future Awards Africa as being part of the much anticipated list for the biggest youth award on the continent, the Young Person of the Year – The Africa Prize.

Muyiwa and Bolatito Oseni have urged an Ikeja Customary Court, Lagos, to dissolve their marriage, accusing each other of infidelity.  Muyiwa, 32, a business man who resides at 2, Adekunle Street in Ikeja area, had earlier told the court that his wife is fond of receiving strange calls from different men in the night.

He said, “My wife receives calls from her boyfriends and her mother even knows about it. She installed a security code on her phone, so that I would not have access to it. She would chat in the middle of the night with her boyfriends on her phone. She would pretend to be on night duty and anytime I call her office, she will not be on duty. She will return the following morning claiming that she is coming from work. I have had several reports of her numerous escapades both online and physically.

Kenneth Ozurumba, a business man who resides at 22, Oyeleke Street, Oregun (Lagos) admitted last Tuesday that he abandoned his matrimonial home and committed adultery with other women, as alleged by his estranged wife, Mrs. Nwamaka Ozurumba of 10, Tonade Street in Ikeja.

Although Kenneth agreed that he has been sleeping around with other women, he denied other allegations levelled against him by his wife. He also pleaded with the court not to dissolve the marriage.

He said, “It is true I sleep around but it is not because I want to. But my wife denies me s-ex and always harasses me. I still love her and will not like the court to dissolve the union. I did not at any point in time beat or harass her as she has claimed.

Nigerians blast Yerima, other senators over ‘child marriage’ law

Massive protests have continued to trail the Senate’s passage of a resolution to retain the provision of Section 29 (4) (b) of the 1999 Constitution. Under the section, a married underage girl is deemed to be an adult.

 

Prominent Nigerians and human right organisations took to the social media to protest what they described as legalization of séxual abuse of underage girls.

 

The  protests were held in parts of the country on Saturday such as Abuja and Lagos among others. Also, petitions were signed to protest the law.

I have always needed a lot of sleep — nine to 10 hours! — so it’s easy for me to notice the impact of a poor night’s sleep; I get short and irritable. Still, it seems people can get used to sleeping with less and start to think it’s normal. I hear this kind of thing in my office all the time: “I’ve never slept  well. I do fine on six hours a night. I have too much to do to sleep.”

Recent research confirms the negative impact too little sleep has on our relationships. This study surveyed 100 couples, putting over 70 of them in a sleep lab, and found that many problems arose in their relationships after poor sleep habits, including more negative feelings, more conflict and less ability to manage conflict.

Oklahoma City Woman: ‘I Had $-éX WIth My Cat

An Oklahoma City woman is accused of threatening her neighbor with a knife before announcing she had s*x with her cat. Kristina Michelle Brown, 23, allegedly brandished a pocket knife at her neighbor, 72-year-old Elmer Morrison, Monday afternoon and asked if he wanted to die, according to a police report obtained by The Smoking Gun.

Morrison called the cops, and when a responding officer asked Morrison why she was threatening her neighbor, she allegedly replied, “Because of what he did to me… I had s*x with my cat and everyone knows.” She allegedly added that Morrison didn’t know she had s*x with the cat, she was just “mad at him and wants him to die.” Brown was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon. It’s unclear if Brown actually engaged in intercourse with her cat.

I went through the rigour lasvdt night. It is the video of the song entitled “Don’t Tell Me Nonsense” and it was awfully disgusting, the song, I mean. Kaffy and the rest of the dancers didn’t disappoint in the video.
This is bad, I know, using awful and disgusting, in same sentence. But that is what I feel about what I saw. Brother, DBanj, a lot has changed since you left your brother and hustle partner, Ajereh, Michael Collins AKA Don Jazzy. Truth. Your songs have been nothing but trash.

Robbers visit Church, Kill One, Injure Two

Suspected armed robbers invaded Solid Mountain Prayer Ministry, Aco along Airport Road, Abuja, where they killed one member and injured two others. According to a police source, Pastor Victor Ajibishe of Solid Mountain Prayer Ministry, reported at a police station in Iddo that while they were having a night vigil in their church, some armed men invaded the building.

The pastor said the armed robbers broke the window of the secretary’s office and entered the church.
The pastors told the police that the armed robbers who used a pistol to shoot sporadically, injured three people while two were treated and discharged, the last person could not make it as he was confirmed dead at the hospital as a result of the serious gun shot injuries he sustained.

Drama In Owerri As Freed Inmate Refuses To Leave Prison

It was a pathetic drama in the Owerri High Court premises Friday morning when an inmate who is believed to have awaited trial in prison for upwards of seven years was acquitted of any wrong doing and discharged by an Owerri Magistrate Court.  According to CrimeFacts, instead of the usual jubilation that follow any ruling of ‘discharged and acquitted’, the inmate, Sylvester Obata (not real names); wearing a long face, headed straight for the Prison van that brought them to court, only to be intercepted by a prison guard who reminded him he was free to go home. 

 To the chagrin of eyewitnesses, Obata said he was going nowhere demanding to be allowed entry into the Prison Van back to prison.  The prison guard who mistook Obata’s statement for a weird joke was jolted when he tried to push him away from the prison van and was defiantly resisted by the freed inmate.

Funke Akindele removes Oloyede from her social media accounts

Following an official statement released a few hours ago by Funke Akindele's camp confirming the end of her one year marriage, the star actress has removed her estranged husband's name, Oloyede, from all her social media accounts.

She's also spoken for the first time about the end of her marriage. She told Stella Dimoko Korkus:

First of all let me clarify that I have not replied any SMS or spoken to anyone on this development before now and neither have I threatened to sue anyone. I do not know who sent out that SMS denying that my marriage is over. That was what necessitated me sending out a press release so as not to confuse the public, especially my fans whom I'm so passionate about.

Yes my marriage has crashed. Let the people who are laughing at me continue laughing.  My job afterall is to make people laugh. Let those who are without sins or mistake cast the first stone. Let them continue judging me. God is the overall judge. He is the one I look up to.
