A very big disaster was averted last Sunday, May 19th, when an SAA South African Airways Airbus A340-600, registration ZS-SNG performing flight SA-60 from Johannesburg (South Africa) to Lagos (Nigeria) conveying over 300 people developed an electrical fault in Mid-air. I got this info from someone on the flight and i am suprised that it's not in the news.

I heard about it yesterday when a work colleague of mine was narrating the entire story to me and another guy in his car. According to him, he was on the flight that faithful day..it was a night flight and he was listening to music from his Ipod when he perceived a foul burning odor, he thought the white man sitting next to him had farted but he knew it something more serious when he noticed people panicking.

Rayford Ellis pleaded guilty alongside his cousin, Timothy Ellis, and both received 15-year sentences for sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl in Texas.

The Texas girl who was the horrific victim of gang rapes at age 11 is now 14 and seven months pregnant.

Twenty men and boys were accused of repeatedly raping the girl in 2010 in the small town of Cleveland, about 50 miles northeast of Houston.

Most of the suspects pleaded guilty or have been convicted. The accused included two high-school sports stars.

A man who set up a video camera to film ghosts in his home had the fright of his life - when he busted his live-in girlfriend having s-èx with his 16-year-old son.  Footage he hoped would reveal signs of paranormal activity in his Tasmania, Australia, house instead showed his two loved ones kissing and then having intercourse.

For those who saw the injuries on late banker, Titi Arowolo, you will all agree that it didn't look self-inflicted. But the man standing trial for her murder is still insisting she killed herself. 

Kolade Arowolo was in court yesterday May 22nd and told the court that Titi actually attacked him with the knife and eventually turned the knife on herself. He said: "I'm not that kind of person. I loved her so much".

Explaining what happened on June 24th 2011, Kolade said he and his wife had sex on that day. He said they'd agreed to stay indoors throughout the day since it was his birthday, adding that he, however, went out to withdraw money which they would use in celebrating his birthday. Continue..

I am a lawyer who had a baby last year and I have been at home since. NELSON Mandela’s daughters are suing him for the rights to his artworks and control of his millions, it has been reported.  According to the Star on Monday, Zenani and Makaziwe Mandela intended fighting an order of Johannesburg High Court in April 2004, which gave Mandela the right to instruct Ismail Ayob, his then lawyer, to stop managing his financial, personal and legal affairs.

The order also barred Ayob from selling any of Mandela’s artworks.

The night b4 she came,I dreamt of an evil bird that flew into our home. 2 days later,I dreamt of a predatory dog that came into our house at night.I don't usually dream such dreams. Yesterday,a cat we don't know where it came from was heard crying in the engine of our car just bought 3 days ago.

The cat was found and ran out. As soon as I set my eyes on her as she stepped out of d car when my husband brought her for the first time,I had an uneasy feeling. MASSOB Gives SSS 48Hrs To Free Detained Leader

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has threatened to take action against the State Security Services, SSS, if its regional leader for Awka North, Mr. Tony Nwodo, was not released from custody within 48 hours.

MASSOB, which did not state exactly what form of action it would take if its demand is not met within the stipulated time frame it gave, however told the SSS to accept responsibility for what ever action the group might take.

Mr. Uchenna Madu, who is MASSOB’s Director of Information, yesterday disclosed that the SSS arrested and detained Nwodo since last Tuesday on the allegation that he impersonated the Governor of Anambra State  – Mr. Peter Obi.

He warned that the organization would take any action it deemed fit if Nwodo was not released immediately.

Four Presidents, Archbishop of Canterbury for Achebe’s burial

Anambra State Government on Tuesday said four Heads of State and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Rev. Justin Welby, would be attending the burial of the literary icon, Prof. Chinua Achebe, at Ogidi.

The burial of Achebe, 82, who died in the United States on March 21, holds on Thursday.

Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Mr. Oseloka Obaze, confirmed the coming of the foreign dignitaries on Tuesday while briefing reporters on Achebe’s burial arrangements.

Obaze said President John Mahama of Ghana would be joining President Goodluck Jonathan and two other heads of state, whose attendance has been secured but awaiting final confirmation at the burial.
